What is the format for these
meetings?
Our general layout begins with our LSCU
team member introducing the lawmaker to
our advocates. Then the lawmaker will
take some time to speak to the group.
Afterwards, we will move into a question
and answer and informative discussion.
Please refer to your brief (coming soon
for information about our legislative
issues and potential matters for
discussion. We expect the meetings to
last about thirty minutes. Please refer
to our LSCU talking points as a
reference for our most important federal
legislative priorities.
Is there a registration fee?
No, there is no registration fee to
attend Hike the Hill! You are only
responsible for your flight and hotel.
Because there is no additional cost
involved, please consider a
contribution to LSCU FedPAC
to aid in our advocacy efforts.
Are there any special COVID-19
protocols within the Capitol?
Due to the pandemic, there could be
extra precautions in place for in-person
meetings on Capitol Hill. As this
situation evolves, the Advocacy Team
will keep you abreast of any extra
protocols you need to know ahead of
time.
