In 2015, an excited young member visited 1st Choice Credit Union ready to finance his first vehicle, his dream car in fact! During closing, the Branch Manager not only took the time to discuss the importance of making timely loan payments, but also encouraged him to seek a program to consolidate his student loans into a single, affordable payment. Following her advice, the member never missed a loan payment on the car and found new financial freedom through the student loan consolidation.
So appreciative for the guidance he received, the member has phoned that Branch Manager each year since taking out that car loan, just to update her on his financial progress. And in the most recent review of his credit, the credit union found his credit score had increased from 600 in 2015 to 798 in 2018.
