This past November, Five Star Credit Union reached out to several members who had pre-qualified for a loan offering them financial assistance ahead of the expensive holiday season. During one such phone call, the credit union learned about a member who was struggling financially. She had recently and unexpectedly become a single mother of their four children. She was working three jobs to provide food and essentials for her family and had come to the realization she would not be able to provide Christmas for them too.
Amazed by the timing of the call, she said, “You are my Angel. My prayers were just answered.”
A simple phone call and a small, easy loan from the credit union helped this member make the holidays a little merrier for her children, and less stressful for herself.
