Curious about what issues may impact credit unions? Looking to get involved? We’re here to help!
Staying involved in the political process and abreast of the changing legislative issues is essential to ensure credit unions have a voice in how they will conduct business and serve their members - now and into the future. The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU) represents the interests of credit unions in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia before federal and state legislative and regulatory bodies with a goal to strengthen and preserve an independent credit union movement that empowers consumers.
The LSCU’s governmental affairs team provides credit unions with access to state and federal legislative information, resources and leveraged input with proposed bills and actively lobbies members of the tri-state legislatures and Congress for the passage or defeat of bills that impact credit unions. As part of affiliation with the LSCU, our team provides training for credit union staff on how to engage and impact your state and federal lawmakers.
