Lauren Culp is the Publisher & CEO at She leads the growing team at CUInsight, connects with the credit union community through thought leadership, works with organizations serving credit unions to maximize their brand and exposure, and represents the trade publication at credit union events across the globe. An accomplished speaker and facilitator, Lauren presents to audiences of all sizes on a variety of topics. A certified credit union development educator (CUDE) and i3 program alum, Lauren spent time at Filene Research Institute and at a credit union before making her way to the industry’s leading digital trade publication.

Josh Cook

Josh Cook
President/CEO, Community Choice CU

Josh Cook is considered a visionary leader and creative thinker. Josh started with Community Choice CU (CCCU) in 2002 as the Marketing Manager and has expanded his role to include everything from marketing to branch operations with plenty in between. He now serves and the President/CEO. During his seventeen years at CCCU, he has gained considerable attention for his creative work amassing over forty national marketing awards.

Josh’s marketing success is attributable to his ability to view challenges and opportunities with consumer behavior in mind. This success led to his creation of Choice Creative Solutions (CCS) in 2012. CCS is a credit union service organization operating under CCCU specializing in marketing. Under Josh’s leadership and vision, CCS has expanded its capabilities and grown sales year over year utilizing tactics uncommon within the industry.

Perception thinking is cornerstone to Josh’s approach to sales success no matter the organization he’s serving. Josh believes that successful product sales most often exist due to perception not reality. This lead importance approach led to the development of a software as a service (SaaS) product created by Josh and developed by CCS in 2014.

Chad Meadows

Chad Meadows
EVP/Chief Operations Officer, VyStar CU

Chad Meadows is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at VyStar Credit Union. In his current position, Chad is responsible for the Executive leadership of VyStar’s Marketing, Retail, Digital, Operations, Contact Center, Payments, Investment, Insurance, Facilities & Security teams. With over 20 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry working for companies such as Wells Fargo, Key Bank and Several other Credit Unions, Chad has helped transform multiple organizations and helped his teams get recognized for dozens of awards focused on community support, financial wellness and creating a best place to work.

Chad Graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and completed his MBA from Boise State University. Chad is passionate about serving in the community and helping progress financial literacy.

Joel Swanson

Joel Swanson
Chief Member Experience Officer, VyStar CU

Joel Swanson has over 20 years’ experience spanning technology and financial services, with 14 years in the credit union industry at two top-20 credit unions in the nation. He currently serves as the Chief Member Experience Officer at VyStar Credit Union, which is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida with $10.7 billion in assets. In this role, Joel has responsibility for the branch and contact center channels along with the credit union’s digital experience, operations and payments. His focus is on delivering a consistent, simple, and personalized experience for VyStar’s 750,000+ members, providing the resources and guidance needed to fulfill their hopes and dreams through holistic financial management.

Joel also has a focus on innovation and spearheaded the creation of a Fintech investment fund at VyStar in order to truly partner with, and learn from, the innovation occurring in this exciting space. As part of this fund he led the successful investment into Payveris, a payments Fintech company, and serves on its board. He also recently spearheaded a $20 million investment into Nymbus, a Banking-as-a-Service platform. He also serves on the founding Board and Investment Committee of the newly formed CURQL Investment Fund comprised of a coalition of credit unions working to generate a $200 million Fintech investment fund.

Joel is passionate about the community and serves in several ways, including being on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens and the North East Florida Boys & Girls Club. He also recently served as the Light The Night Corporate Walk Chair for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in north Florida.

Lisa Cochran

Lisa Cochran
Chief Information Officer, VyStar CU

Lisa is a transformational technology executive with diverse experiences across the healthcare and financial services industries. She joined VyStar as the Chief Information Officer in July 2021, bringing 25+ years experience leading technology organizations at global banks including Citi and Bank of America, as well as small and mid -size organizations. Lisa focuses on simplifying technology and reducing friction for members by making technology simpler and easier to use. Lisa began programming computers at the age of 12, and is passionate about closing the digital divide in under served communities where STEM education isn’t readily available.

Renée Sattiewhite

Renee Sattiewhite
President/CEO African Amercian Credit Union Coalition (AACUC)

Renée Sattiewhite is the President and CEO of the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) and is responsible for the execution of the strategic vision of the Board of Directors. With over 30 years in the world of finance, she started her career as a Teller Trainee for City National Bank in Beverly Hills, California. She quickly moved up the ranks with various positions including Bank Officer.

She has been associated with credit unions for over 25 years and was the first Internship Program Director for the AACUC. Renee’s background is in training and marketing, specializing in Customer Service, Effective Communication, Board Development, Team Building and Strategic Planning.

Renée is a former Instructor for Spelman College’s Continuing Education Department, a Facilitator for United Way of Greater Atlanta’s VIP Board Development Program and a graduate of Oglethorpe University with a B.A. in Communications.

She is a certified diversity professional, a credit union development educator, motivational speaker, an executive coach, mentoring trainer and assists organizations with marketing campaigns.

She is a proud Board Member of the World Council of Credit Unions Foundation and a Master Trainer for the United Way of Atlanta ‘s VIP Board Development Program.

Steven Rick

Steven Rick
Director, Chief Economist, CUNA Mutual Group

Steven Rick is a director and the chief economist for CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin. His primary responsibilities include conducting strategic research, analysis, and forecasting of the financial services industry with special emphasis on the consumer and credit union markets.

Rick’s forecasts serve as a starting point for the strategic planning process and help to create a clear understanding of the underlying trends and links between the general economy, the financial services industry, and CUNA Mutual Group’s policy owners.

Before joining CUNA Mutual Group, Rick was the senior economist for CUNA & Affiliate’s Economics & Statistics Department for 22 years. Rick also serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Wisconsin Credit Union, a $2 billion financial institution.

Rick holds a senior lecturer position with the Economics Department at the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he teaches Money & Banking and Macroeconomics courses. He is also the facilitator and instructor for CUNA Management School’s Stanford Bank Game, a computerized bank simulation, and has 2 years’ experience as a bank simulation advisor for the Prochnow Graduate School of Banking.

Rick has a B.A. in Economics from Moorhead State University; a B.S. in Finance from Moorhead University; and a M.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He also obtained a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Robin Brulé

Robin Brule
Senior Director, Philanthropic Partnerships, Filene

With more than 25 years of community leadership experience, Robin Brulé joined the Filene team to elevate Filene’s philanthropic partnership - approaches and cross-sector relationships.

A fierce advocate for social justice with a strong track record engineering, piloting, and scaling holistic service programs, Robin is now with Filene and previously served on their Think Tank while at $3 Billion Nusenda Federal Credit Union. She’s also held positions as Chief Strategist for New Mexico Center for Philanthropic Partnerships, Executive Director of Central New Mexico Community College Foundation and Director of Development for University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital during her more than 25 years of extensive community leadership. Robin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix.

A true influencer, Robin has been passionate about building communities through every career opportunity she has held. She plans to strengthen Filene’s ability to create cross-sector partnerships through philanthropy and ultimately, solve the complex problems facing credit unions and the communities they serve.

Don’t forget to ask Robin about how she brought her socially conscious childhood into the lives of her own children, how she accidentally became an actress in college, and how she ended up taking a ride in a submarine and then in a hot air balloon.
